On the social network, a person explained how the grandmother fell in love with the artist, because he reminded her of her late husband. After suffering a stroke in the early 1970s, the grandmother was only at home for 10 years, but found comfort in the movies of Reeves – and watched several productions with the star, from Bill & Ted: A Fantastic Adventure (1989) to Matrix (1999).
The user of reddit then explained how his uncle met the artist in a Los Angeles restaurant and how this led to a long phone conversation between the actor and the elderly fan. “Shortly after Matrix launch, my uncle was in Los Angeles on business and was eating at a very fancy restaurant when Keanu entered with a woman,” wrote the person, who has not been identified at this time.
“When he finished his meal, my uncle came over to their table and said, ‘I don’t usually do this, but I just wanted to let you know that my 80-year-old mother loves you and has seen all of your movies. my father’,” he continued. “He said that Keanu asked if he had a cell phone, and when he confirmed, [Keanu Reeves] said, ‘Call her, I want to talk to her’.”
