Kylie Jenner is accused of “gassing” followers and unsanitary practices, and her accuser has not pulled back

When she is not an executive producer and directs Hulu’s The Kardashians Along with the rest of her famous family, Kylie Jenner often grows her multimillion-dollar brand one way or another. She started out with just lip kits in 2015, but she has since launched a line of swimwear, skin care products for adults and children, and more. However, after BTS took a look at the 24-year-old as she created her latest lab version, she was accused of “misleading” fans and unsanitary practices. A back and forth ensued and her accuser refused to retract her claims.

First, let’s go back. On July 3, the TV personality-turned-CEO posted photos and videos for instagram of herself in Milan, Italy, doing “magic” makeup in the Kylie Cosmetics laboratory. However, Jenner quickly received a backlash, with many noting in her comments that she had long dark hair with no tie or hairnet and no gloves when blending the product. Check out the post with just some of the comments here:

Kevin James Bennett, who won two Daytime Emmys for his work as a makeup artist on the soap opera. As the world turnsJust as he showed disgust at what he saw on Kylie Jenner’s social media. Bennett works in the same cosmetic development industry and has criticized the beauty mogul herself instagram post about what is and is not the best practice in your opinion, saying in part,

I am a cosmetics developer and I work with cosmetic manufacturers (and their labs) as part of my work. I have very short hair and have NEVER been admitted to the laboratory or the manufacturing plant without a hair net, shoe covers, mask … and disposable GLOVES. Kylie tricks her followers into believing that she does cosmetics. And I would like to know which ignorant producer (in Italy) allowed you to set up this photo shoot in your laboratory and in production, without following the proper sanitation protocols. I need the name because I want to make sure my clients NEVER work with them.

He went on to say that the Hulu star’s post “misrepresents” the alleged real process behind the development of cosmetics because “reputable manufacturers follow strict health protocols to keep you safe.” She also directed a “shame on you” hashtag to Kylie Jenner. But she blamed herself for the post in question, denying not only what she accused her of, but also returning her “shame”. Jenner wrote,

kevin: this photo was not taken in a manufacturing plant. I would never break health protocols and no other celebrity or beauty brand owner would ever do that. This is totally unacceptable, I agree. it’s a little personal space that creates my fun samples and shoots for content that doesn’t come close to mass production. no one puts customers at risk! Shame on you, Kevin, for spreading false information!

The prosecutor had a number of responses to Kylie Jenner’s own allegations. While @ -ing the young businesswoman, Kevin James Bennett reiterated that there were “serious gas lamps here”. She wondered how a “personal space” could be, as she claimed, as she wore an official Regi lab coat (a cosmetics company) in what appeared to be an official lab space. added,

@kyliejenner am I embarrassed? NO, shame on you or those who manage your social networks for trying to make everyone think that I am the culprit. Take responsibility for your mistake and move on. Are you a cosmetics developer? Do you know how strict are the disinfection protocols in responsible laboratories? I do. So, if you don’t want your feelings to be hurt, don’t break the rules that protect people’s safety, because you want a photo shoot and your privilege gives you weight. And don’t lie when they call you.

There was even more back and forth after that, if you can believe it. Kylie Jenner reacted with some sarcasm by saying, “@kjbennettbeauty were you there Kevin? ugh now I have to change my dog’s name. Kevin James Bennett replied with amazement that he would continue to “trick” and “troll” him in the comments. Then apparently they left him there for now.

Kylie Jenner is now returning to her regular lineup on her TL, to include smokey glam photoshoots and BTS photos with her 4-year-old daughter who became TikToker Stormi. However, this latest Insta bug is only the second in the past few weeks for The Kardashians alum (with season 2 premiering on September 22 for Hulu subscribers). The first was the huge outcry over Jenner’s use of private jets.

She didn’t have much to say about this particular controversy, but that’s not to say this isn’t the first time she has called the accusers about their charges against her. On TikTok, the mother of now two teenagers targeted a user who once said she heard a baby cry in her house.

Kids, jets, gowns – it looks like Kylie Jenner is going viral almost every week these days. But hey, she’s used to it, right?
