The reboot of Buffy: The Vampire Hunt It has just revealed its full cast and the mix between new faces and known names promises to win old and new fans. The new series marks the return of SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR (Second intentions) to the role of Buffy Summers, as well as confirming a generation of promising talents that will star in the next chapter of the so -called “BuffyVerso.”

The Canadian actress Ryan Kiera Armstrongonly 15 years old, it takes on the role of the new protagonist. She will be an introvert student of high school who finds it to be the “chosen” of the time to face supernatural forces.

Ryan Armstrong was announced as the protagonist in a surprise made by his own Gellarwhich also acts as an executive producer of the pilot. The veteran actress was thrilled to comment on the choice: “From the moment I saw the Ryan test, I learned that there was only one girl I wanted by my side”.

The creators of the series, Nora and Lilla Zuckerman (poker face, SHIELD agents), also praised Armstrong: “We are very happy to have found the hunter of this generation. She has completely impressed us”.

Who is behind the new series?

The pilot episode will be directed by none other than Chloé ZhaoOscar winner for Nomadland(2020). The script is in charge of the sisters Zuckermanwhich bring in the curriculum experiences with mystery and action productions aimed at young people.

The plot should function as an expansion of the original universe, introducing a new generation of hunters and allies, but with possible participation in classic characters.

When the reboot of Buffy?

Still without official title and no confirmed debut date, the new series is in the early stage of production. The pilot will be filmed in the coming months, and news should be announced in 2025.
