THE Cinema Echo Speaker Showthe largest audiovisual event dedicated to socio-environmental issues in South America, will be present at COP30the United Nations Conference on Climate Change, which will be held between November 10 and 21, 2025, in Belém (PA). Ecospeaker’s programming during the event is broad and decentralized, with exhibitions, debates and exhibitions in different states, TV stations and digital platforms.
In Belém, the agenda focuses on Sesc Doca, with the exhibition Ecospeaker Presents Virtual Reality at COP30 (from November 7th to 21st, with free entry). The initiative brings together works that use immersive technology to discuss topics such as the Amazon, indigenous peoples and the environmental impacts of human actions. Among the highlights are Living Amazonfrom Estevão Ciavattaa 360° journey through the Tapajós region, and five VR short films Tadeu Jungleincluding Fire in the Forestabout the Waurá people, and Mud Riverabout the collapse of the dam in Mariana (MG).
Ecospeaker also participates in the official COP30 program, in the so-called Blue Zone, with the debate “Narratives on Screens: Cinema, Media and Indigenous and Black Voices in the Fight for Climate Justice and Against Climate Misinformation”, scheduled for November 18, at 2:30 pm. The meeting will bring together the influencer Tukumã Pataxóactor and playwright Adaniloand the filmmakers Samara Borari, Estevão Ciavatta, Joyce Cursino and Samara Assunção.
In addition to in-person programming, the Exhibition’s reach will be expanded through partnerships with public broadcasters. TV Cultura will show, on Sundays in November, the Mostra Ecospeaker track, with documentaries about indigenous peoples, climate change, waste and sustainable economy. Among the titles are Forest — A Garden that We Cultivate (Mari Corrêa) and Under the Ox’s Paw (Márcio Isensee and Sá).
TVE Bahia presents the special series Mostra Ecospeaker de Cinema: Special COP30, on the first two weekends of November, with recent films such as Listen: The Earth Was Torn (Cassandra Melo and Fred Rahal Mauro) and Faith for the Climate (Pedro Carcereri), which address spirituality, indigenous resistance and climate action.
Another highlight is the partnership with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MMA), which promotes the itinerary “CTV Ecospeaker Show: COP is Here”, from November 1st to 21st. The action will take film sessions and debates to more than 700 spaces on the Green Screen Circuit (CTV), including Green Rooms, ICMBio Conservation Units, Ibama Environmental Education Centers and institutions focused on environmental education.
In the digital environment, the Ecospeaker Play platform makes available, from October 20th to November 21st, the “Climate Emergency and COP30” catalog, with 26 films and series aimed at educators. The works are divided by age groups and address topics such as the Amazon, traditional peoples, bioeconomy, human rights and circular economy, encouraging the use of audiovisual as a pedagogical tool on sustainability.
The Department of Environment, Infrastructure and Logistics of the State of São Paulo (Semil) also participates in the Semil Ecospeaker Film Festival: COP30, which takes films to cities in the interior of São Paulo that are part of the Município Verde Azul Program. Selection includes animation Kigalinha (Gabriel Justo, Felipe Santana and Gabrielle Adabo), about the future of the planet, and the documentary Forest Partners (Fred Rahal Mauro), a manifesto for a sustainable forestry economy.
