What If…?: Season Two Is ‘Crazier’ According to Director

Bryan Andrews, director of What If…?, also revealed that the ‘craziest’ second season of the animation will have new characters

first animation of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), What If…? will have a second season on Disney+and the director Bryan Andrews confirmed how the franchise’s next anthology series will be “crazier.”

Andrews commented on some details of the production during an interview with deadline and revealed what to expect from the new episodes. “Obviously we’re going to have more unique stories that slowly get a little crazier. In season one, Kevin [Feige, presidente do Marvel Studios] I wanted to keep it low-key, but we were still very attached to specific moments in the movies, or to a particular movie,” he said.

Now, there are more movies and series to enjoy, so we don’t have to just have a little moment.

“We can expand, and things can get a little crazier. We scaled it up a little bit in season two, and then in season three we got even crazier,” continued the director.

Furthermore, Bryan Andrews talked about the news of the second season of What If…?: “We’ll have different characters that we haven’t had a chance to play with before, and we’ll see how they integrate with some of the returning favorites. There’s a lot of really cool stuff and I can’t wait for people to see it.”

What If…?: Episodes can get live-action version? Kevin Feige responds

During the episode “What If…?“, from the documentary series Marvel Studios: Assembled (2021), Feige did not talk about live-action versions of the events presented in the episodes, but opened the door to other formats besides the series of Disney+.

“I truly believe that delving deeper into these fictional mythologies is a way to appreciate them, understand them more and look at them in a different way,” said the president of marvel studios.

Feige continued: “They have two seasons of ideas in What If…?the best narrative we’ve ever had [e] that you can see in other media. It really is the most beautiful animated series I’ve seen in a long time.”

Previously, the cartoonist Mark Millar talked about the possibility of expanding the narrative marvel zombiesfeatured in the fifth episode of What If…?. Beyond, Seth Greeninterpreter of Howard the Duckrevealed a desire to explore the character’s backstory in more depth.

What If…?

What If…? is the new animated series from marvel studioswhich follows the characters in different realities and reimagines events from the films of the MCU. The title is run by Bryan Andrews and has AC Bradley as lead screenwriter. The episodes of the first season are available in the catalog of the Disney+.
