This: welcome to Derry it started out very strong
Set in the same universe as Stephen King’s novels featuring the terrifying clown Pennywise, This: welcome to Derry takes place in the 60s. That’s about two decades before the 2017 film directed by Andy Muschietti. The series follows several children live near a US Air Force base in Derry. Following After one of their friends goes missing, they set out to look for him and commit a series of catastrophic events.
This: welcome to Derry was launched this Monday 27 October on HBO Max with the release of its first episode. This yes shocked fans with a cruel and bloody final scene. This decision was made for celebrate Halloween. Afterwards, the series will return to its original schedule. Subsequent episodes will come one by one every MondayUntil eighth and last on December 15th.
All the characters are in danger
Andy Muschietti recently explained that the first episode of This: welcome to Derry aimed at set the tone of the series. So, in the words of the screenwriter and director, “In this world no one will be safe”. It is therefore likely that any character will die at any point in the sequel.
