UTA signed three NFT artists and co-created the NFT MV3 collection Weird stuff Writer Jesse Nixon-Lopez as part of the agency’s ongoing effort to represent clients and projects in the Web3 space.
Joining the agency’s list of Web3 clients are visual artists Emonee LaRussa, who was selected as one of three artists to create NFTs for the Grammys; Winnie Hager, who launched the NFT collection cards last year; and Andrew Wang, founder of the Web3 Devotion art studio.
The agency also introduces the Metav3rse NFT MV3 Collection, a digital publication that provides readers with updates on NFT news across various social media platforms. The collection, a collaboration between Nixon-Lopez, Roberto Nixon and Tori Kohara, features several characters from the fictional world of Eluna City and has sold out since its first public release.
Like other NFT collections with strong fanbases like Bored Apes, the MV3 Collection will likely expand its IP into movies, TV, video games, books, events, and more. MV3 NFT owners will have the opportunity to voice their opinion on future scenarios involving MV3 characters.
“Just like the rise of YouTube as a new platform many years ago, we see the rise of NFT specifically, but also of Web3 in general, as an area that will create a new group of great creators,” Leslie Silverman. the head of the Web3 division told UTA The Hollywood reporter.
NFT sales have dropped in recent months, with the OpenSea NFT market reporting a 70% drop in sales between May and June, and top-tier collections like Bored Ape Yacht Club down 33 years during the same period. Data reported by Bloomberg.
But Silverman says he sees it as a “building” moment.
“I haven’t seen a slowdown in the number of traditional or Web2 brands trying to break into the space,” says Silverman. “Smart and wise brands will see this correction in the market as an opportunity to catch up.”

To meet this demand, UTA has also added three new agents to the Web3 team: Caroline Hooven, former Senior Brand Project Manager at Thrive Market; Erlan Nisanov, former startup business development associate at Amazon Web Services and analyst at Evercore; and Griffin Lasker, co-founder of Internet Friends DAO and former employee of UTA’s Entertainment and Culture Business and Marketing Division.
Agents reporting to Silverman will help identify key talent and partnerships.
“We are seeing an increase in offers to access these native cryptocurrency creators and I think a large part of the reason is the interest in authentically entering the space. So if a brand comes in, they look to partner with a creator native to the space,” said Silverman. “You’ll see a lot more of that in the coming months.”
