Stresa and Lake Maggiore will host for three days, starting Monday, August 29, the shooting of the comic trio’s new film Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomoa comedy directed by Massimo Venier accomplished by AGIDI DUE which will be in the dining room at Christmas thanks to Medusa Film.
After filming in Milan, Brianza and Lake Como, “The best day of our lives”(Working title) will be made with the support of the Film Commission Torino Piemonte also in several locations of Lake Maggiore, especially Stresa, thanks to the active collaboration of the local administrations involved through the regional network of the Foundation.
Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo return to the set after the success of “I hate the summer” with a choral film that will see the presence of Antonella Attili and Elena Lietti, and the participation of Lucia Mascino, Margherita Mannino, Giovanni Anzaldo, Pietro Ragusa and Roberto Citran.
In a large villa on Lake Como, everything is ready to celebrate the wedding of Elio and Caterina. This will be the best day of their lives and also their parents, especially their fathers James and John. The two have known each other since their school days and shared everything: the family business – Segrate Arredi – the loves, the holidays… The children’s wedding represents the most exciting seal their fraternal, indissoluble friendship. For this they spared no expense: three days of celebration, a Cardinal to celebrate the marriage, delicious wines, starred chefs … And to direct it all, an expensive maître d’ himself “the Riccardo Muti of catering”.
Unfortunately, together with Margherita, Giovanni’s ex-wife and mother of the bride, Aldo, his new partner, comes to the wedding. Sympathetic, broad and above all chaotic to the highest degree, the newcomer hits the marriage like a tornado, setting off a series of funny but above all very expensive gaffes and accidents. Giacomo and Giovanni try to stop it in every way, but under Aldo’s blows a hidden weakness opens, destined to question Giovanni and Giacomo’s friendship, their marriages and more. And that will force everyone to face their doubts and the courage it takes to indulge in happiness.
