Lucasfilm brought Willow tree Saturday before D23, with Warwick Davies and the cast to show off a new trailer for the series. Actor Christian Slater was a new addition to the cast announced at the convention in Anaheim, California. Slater noted that he was surprised at how much the Disney+ show improved on set.
Davis reprises her role as Willow Upgood, who played the witch apprentice Nelwyn in Ron Howard’s 1988 film. The new Disney+ series is set 20 years later and focuses on three heroes in search of Willow. Ellie Bamber, Erin Kellyman, Tony Revolori and Kaylee Spann star in the series, which stars Jonathan Kasdan and Wendy Mericle.
Willow tree is the latest Lucasfilm property to bring back a classic star. obi wan kenobiReleased in late May, Ewan McGregor returns to the lead role he first played in 1999. A younger star, Diego Luna, will also make headlines. andorA spin-off focused on her Rogue One: A Star Wars Story character.
Willow tree Debuts November 30 on Disney+.
