Dahmer: The American Cannibal: Fans of Katy Perry and Kesha recall songs by artists citing the serial killer

The tracks “Dark Horse” (2013) and “Cannibal” have verses about Jeffrey Dahmer, the serial killer portrayed in the new Netflix series.

After the series premiere Dahmer: An American Cannibal (2022), inspired by the crimes of Jeffrey Dahmer, netizens recalled songs that make reference to the serial killer. Among the songs are the hits “Dark Horse” (2013), from Katy Perry with Juicy Jand “Cannibal” (2010), from Kesha.

Created by Ryan Murphyknown for productions such as glee (2009) and American Horror Story (2011), the series produced by Netflix has been on the most talked about topics on Twitter since its debut, last Wednesday, 17th.

In “Dark Horse”the rapper Juicy J sings, “She eats your heart like Jeffrey Dahmer.” Already Keshain “Cannibal”says he “eats men’s hearts for breakfast” and “turns into Jeffrey Dahmer”.

Fans of the artists are asking for the lyrics to be changed on social media, taking into account that Dahmer’s victims and the fact that a large part of the fans of the two artists are from the LGBTQIA+ community.

Created by award-winning Ryan Murphyknown for productions such as glee (2009) and American Horror Story (2011), the series produced by Netflix will feature 10 episodes starring the actor Evan Peters.

The miniseries proposes to tell the crimes of Dahmer through the perspective of the murderer’s victims. For this, it has Niecy Nash, Penelope Ann Miller, Shaun J. Brown, Colin Ford and Richard Jenkins in your roster.

Depicting the story of the man who killed 17 men and boys and then confessed to his crimes, sentenced to 16 life sentences, the series still promises to question the investigation of the case, demonstrating how the Wisconsin police acted in the face of the crimes.
