‘It gave me the chills, but it also made me really angry’: The Marvels director returns to this famous scene from Avengers: Endgame

The biggest success in the history of the MCU, the apotheosis of the Infinity Saga released in 2019, Avengers: Endgame (broadcast tonight on TF1) especially spoiled Marvel fans and offered them countless moments of courage.

Among all these epic sequences, we remember in particular the female attack, which unites all the heroes of the film against the forces of Thanos, during the final battle. Gamora, Okoye, Scarlet Witch, Mantis, Valkyrie and of course Captain Marvel…

A scene that particularly noted filmmaker Nia DaCosta (future director of The Marvels), but which the latter also describes as disappointing because it’s too short for her taste:

“Like many women around the world, I watched Avengers: Endgame and there were those 6 seconds where all the women of Marvel come together.”He recently trusted the microphone Entertainment Weekly.

“It gave me chills, but at the same time, it made me really angry. I was like, ‘Give us two hours of this, please.’ So it’s great that they decided to do a team-up movie with three of my favorite characters.”

Therefore, led by Nia DaCosta herself, Carol Danvers (played by Brie Larson in Captain Marvel), Kamala Kahn (played by Iman Whelan in Miss Marvel) and Monica Rambo (seen in the WandaVision series as Teyonah Paris) will reunite in July 2023 in The Marvels.
