In early September of this year, the star of “Transformers” and ex-husband singer Fergie Josh Duhamel married a second time – to a girl who is almost younger than him. But Duhamel’s family life with his young wife did not immediately go according to plan – just a few hours before the ceremony, the actor needed urgent medical attention due to severe back pain. And the next morning after the wedding, he was almost paralyzed. The 49-year-old Duhamel shared the details of this story with the host of The Kelly Clarkson Show.
According to Duhamel, the culprit was an awkward dance move that he performed on the eve of the wedding.
We had a bachelor party on the party bus. And there are handrails that you hold on to while driving. I decided to perform a gymnastic trick on them during the dance and, apparently, did not calculate. The next morning, two hours before the wedding, I woke up and was able to get out of bed,” he said.
However, thanks to the help of doctors who pumped Duhamel with strong painkillers, the wedding went smoothly and the actor’s bride, 28-year-old Miss World America Audra Marie, did not even have time to get scared. This she was to experience immediately after the wedding night.
The next morning, after the wedding, I again could not get out of bed. I was literally paralyzed. Audra, of course, was nervous, saying: “My God! After all, it was all right. How does it happen that on my first day after the wedding, I roll my husband in a wheelchair?” I tried to laugh it off: “Look, I’m just a lot older than you.” But it really was not a very good start to our family life.
Despite the drama, Duhamel says, they remember with love and humor the day they tied the knot in North Dakota, their home state. Confirmation of this is the recent costume party of Randy Gerber, where the couple annealed in symbolic images. Audra Marie took on the role sex symbol of the 90s Anna Nicole Smith, and Josh reincarnated as her husband, oil tycoon James Howard Marshall, not forgetting his walker.
