With Jesse L. Martin gone, The CW plans final season of The Flash with fewer episodes
The Flash (2014) may come to an end earlier than planned. Jesse L. Martin will leave the sprinter’s series to take on a role in The Irrational after interpreting Joe West from the start of production. according to The Hollywood Reporter, CW studies final season with fewer episodes.
Tom Cavanagh (Nash Wells) and Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon) also came out of The Flashrecently, in the seventh year of the series. Thus, only three characters from the original cast remain: Grant Gustin (Barry Allen), Candice Patton (Iris West) and Danielle Panabaker (Caitiln Snow).
martin should appear sporadically in season 9 – confirmed by CW in March this year. The channel, however, should not bet on the traditional 22-episode format for the plot, adjusting for fewer chapters.
Even at the end, The Flash became the longest-running series in the history of CW. next to arrow(2012) and other productions from the DC universe, is part of the arrowverse – name given to the partnership between broadcaster and publisher.
