During the conference of Warner Bros. sa CinemaCon of Las Vegas, the first official image of Barbielive-action film dedicated to the iconic doll Mattelplayed by Margot Robbie.
During the presentation, the release date of the film was also announced, which will be released in US theaters on July 21, 2023. In particular, the film will face Oppenheimerthe new film’s Christopher Nolan.
In the direction of Greta Gerwigwith whom he wrote the script Noah Baumbach (Storia di un Matrimonio), production is currently underway by Mattel Films At Warner Bros. The film’s stellar cast includes Ryan Gosling, Kate McKinnon, Alexandra Shipp, America Ferrera, Simu Liu, “And Just Like That” actors Hari Nef and Will Ferrell.

Producers of “Barbie” also include Margot Robbie for LuckyChap along with Tom Ackerley; Robbie Brenner of Mattel; and David Heyman of Heyday Films. Josey McNamara of LuckyChap e Mattel’s Kreiz are executive producers.
Production began earlier this year in London. “Barbie” is one of many Mattel properties that will have an adaptation in the coming years. Projects based on Magic 8 Ball, Hot Wheels, Masters of the Universe, Polly Pocket, Rock ‘Em Sock‘ Em Robots and the dolls of Chatty Cathy and Betsy Wetsy are in the works.
