During an interview with SlashFilm, Henry Gilroyone of the screenwriters of The Clone Wars, revealed how the creator of the franchise was originally not supposed to have much involvement in the development of the show. However, he changed his mind and came out of retirement to work on the production after watching the first clips – and seeing that it had a cinematic proportion.
gilroy remembered how, after George Lucas learning more about the show, he attended meetings every week after planning to appear at production meetings only once or twice a year.
