Gold Reserve: These products are best purchased frozen and always kept refrigerated

A varied and healthy diet is a sore point for anyone who works. How many times is enough time and energy to cook a packet of dumplings – and in the meantime, fresh products bought with good intentions go bad … However, according to nutrition experts, it is much more reliable to immediately buy something frozen and always keep it in stock (and it’s not just dumplings, dumplings and chebureks!)

Healthy eating author Laura Burak is convinced that a well-assembled freezer is always ready to answer the question “What’s for dinner?” correctly. If you stock up on a variety of nutrient-dense foods, you can save a lot on ready meal delivery and, most importantly, eat with benefit and pleasure.

Do not forget – in a separate freezing chamber, products are stored for up to 6 months (at a temperature of -15), in a freezer inside the refrigerator – about 3-4 months. Always check the expiry and conservation dates, and also make sure that the food does not thaw when leaving the store, you should not refreeze it.

Berries (and some fruits)

During the season, there is no problem with constantly adding fresh berries to the menu, but only the duration of this season is very short, and you want to eat deliciously all year round. Berries, fruits (and vegetables) are frozen at the peak of their ripeness, so their quality is not in question. These raw materials can be used for cocktails, baking, adding cottage cheese or tea – always at hand.

Spinach

Have you ever cooked fresh spinach? It is reduced almost ten times in volume! Yes, its fresh leaves are great in a salad, but to quickly make a sauce for pasta, a side dish for fish, or just boil some green borscht, all you need to do is take a packet of spinach out of the freezer. It is washed, dried and frozen in small capsules that are very easy to dose.

Pea

Peas poached in a small amount of butter are popular with children; it can also be added with cheese to freshly cooked pasta, making the dish tastier and healthier.

edamame beans

We have already written hwhat are edamame beans and why you should try them at least once. Fresh beans are rare and expensive, while frozen beans are always fresh, green and ready to eat, as they can be cooked in just 5 minutes.

Sandwich bread and portioned rolls

Don’t have time to buy fresh bread or are you tired because the bread gets stale and moldy before you have time to finish it? A handy option is to keep a supply of bread in the freezer. Slices can be sent in portions to the toaster (dried bread is much healthier), and rolls or croissants can be sent to the oven immediately before use to be fresh for Sunday breakfast. And you don’t have to go anywhere!

Shrimps and fish fillet

If you have a large family or just don’t like going to the deli every day after work, it’s good to have a supply of animal protein because it doesn’t stay fresh for long. Portioned fish fillet is very easy to cook – in 15 minutes you will get a full-fledged dish from frozen raw materials. And with shrimp it’s even easier – rinse with warm water in a colander and quickly fry with garlic.
