Television presenter Abbey Gelmi made a striking appearance at the 2026 Logie Awards in Sydney on Sunday, stepping out in a tulle bandeau top and a see-through skirt. The annual TV Week Logie Awards celebrate the biggest achievements in Australian television broadcasting.
The 36-year-old former Channel Seven star showed off her trim physique and toned tummy in the ensemble, which featured a floor-length bejewelled skirt. Gelmi, who currently hosts the ABC sports discussion program Offsiders, wore her brunette locks parted and slicked back on the night, allowing her outfit to speak volumes. She complemented the look with statement earrings and a glittering smile.
Gelmi's appearance at the event comes after she lashed out earlier in the year at her treatment by Channel Seven, after the broadcaster axed her just two months after she gave birth to her son Ollie.
"My son, Ollie, was born in November [2024] and in February I was sat down by Seven and told my contract wasn't being renewed and 'don't worry about coming back,'" she told News Corp. "Not to say anything Seven did wasn't above board, and I'm sure they had their reasoning, but the timing of it - given my son wasn't yet three months old - was really difficult. I was still on maternity leave and it was just a really turbulent time."
Departure from Seven Network
The split with the Seven Network occurred shortly before Gelmi faced further distress when she was targeted by a stalker who sent her repeated calls and messages, including explicit videos. Following an investigation by police, the Victorian man responsible was jailed.
Gelmi explained that the situation contributed to people getting the wrong idea about why she left the broadcaster. "When [the Seven axing] happened, I gave the impression that the time had come for a new chapter," she said. "That was me protecting myself, but also processing a level of hurt and embarrassment I felt."
Family Life and Relationship
Gelmi and her partner, former Australian Football League (AFL) star Kane Lambert, share two children together. The couple welcomed their first son, Louis James, on March 8, 2023. Their second son, Oliver Herb, was born in November 2024.
Gelmi and Lambert announced their engagement in 2023. They have yet to marry.
