Kennedy International Airport on Wednesday after Grande completed the final show of her international concert run.
The 33-year-old hitmaker kept a low profile as she walked hand in hand with Alvarez through the airport terminal. Preparing to fly under the radar, Grande wore a black face mask, a baseball cap, a casual black sweater, and jeans. She swapped her usual platform heels for comfortable black boots after recently suffering a foot injury.
Alvarez, 35, stayed close to his girlfriend throughout their journey through JFK airport. He matched her casual attire by wearing a baseball cap, a brown polo sweater, and navy Adidas joggers.
Relationship and marriage speculation
The couple's airport appearance follows growing speculation that the pair may be preparing to settle down. Grande rekindled her relationship with Alvarez, a 35-year-old former backup dancer, earlier this year. The pair previously dated from 2015 to 2016 before reuniting.
During her tour performances, Grande consistently altered the lyrics to her hit 2018 track Thank U, Next, which mentions several of her high-profile ex-boyfriends. In standard performances of the track, she sings the line, "Wrote some songs about Ricky, now I listen and laugh."
However, during her concert on Tuesday, Grande sparked widespread marriage rumours among fans by changing the lyric to, "Wrote some songs about Ricky, I'm tryna make him my last." The Daily Mail reached out to representatives for Grande for comment regarding the lyric change.

The Eternal Sunshine world tour, which was promoted by global entertainment company Live Nation, achieved massive commercial success. The tour sold more than 630,000 tickets across 41 sold-out dates, drawing an average audience of 15,000 fans per show.
Promoting her latest studio album Petal, Grande kept concertgoers entertained by varying her setlist between tour stops. She surprised audiences at several dates with live debut performances of tracks from the record, including "freak", "kiss me", and "bad thing (bunny hop)".
Emotional farewell at London arena
The arrival in New York comes shortly after Grande emotionally bade farewell to fans on stage at London's O2 Arena. The singer broke down in tears after finishing her 10-date run at the major venue in the United Kingdom capital, marking the end of her 41-date global tour as she prepares to step back from showbusiness for the foreseeable future.
Addressing the audience tearfully on stage on Tuesday, Grande expressed her gratitude to the crowd for supporting her throughout the tour. "I just wanted to say, thank you so much. This has been an extraordinary experience. Thank you for 10 beautiful London shows and for 41 incredible Eternal Sunshine tour shows," she said.
"This has been one of the most beautiful extraordinary experiences of my life and I just wanted to express my gratitude without sobbing completely. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It has been so special," Grande added.
"I'll cherish this experience always. I have the best fans in the entire world and I always have. I love your outfits, I love your faces, I love seeing you. Thank you for all of your effort and continuing to make this so special. I have loved every minute of this with you all and I just wanted to make sure I express how grateful I am. Thank you and I love you so much," she continued.
Signing off in tears, Grande referenced her long-running music career and the UK capital by telling the crowd: "Thank you for being by my side all the way from Honeymoon Avenue to Hampstead." Honeymoon Avenue is a track from her 2013 debut album, while Hampstead is a well-known neighbourhood in London.
During the London performance, the singer was overcome with emotion while singing her hit single One Last Time. Struggling to get her words out through tears, she requested that the audience help her sing the lyrics to complete the track.
Foot injury and stage changes
On the final night of the tour, Grande opted to wear Uggs instead of her signature high-heeled footwear as she continues recovering from a minor foot injury. Fans had previously noticed the performer limping during stage routines last week.
Grande addressed the situation in a message shared on Instagram on Monday, informing followers that she was recovering from a deep cut. "My sweet petals, I wanted to let you know I will need to be in cozy footwear for this evenings show (and possibly tomorrow's) as I am bandaged up underneath, recovering from a minor injury," she wrote.
"It is not a sprain or anything muscular but just a deep cut! So when you see me tonight without my signature heels, or even possibly having a little trouble putting weight on that foot, that is why!" Grande explained in the post.
"But please do not fret. On with the show and I am on the mend. I cannot wait to perform for you tonight and tomorrow (even if I am a few inches shorter than usual)," she added.
Career break and upcoming projects
Last month, Grande clarified that her upcoming career hiatus had been quietly planned a long time ago, with the break taking place amid ongoing public scrutiny. The singer recently sparked concern among fans following the release of her music video for Petal, directed by Christian Breslauer.
