Gogglebox star Baasit Siddiqui has shared rare photographs of his wife Melissa during a family holiday in Cyprus with their two children, Amelia and Theodore, on Friday.
The television personality and his family enjoyed a relaxing trip to the Mediterranean island, posing for pictures while out on a scenic hike.
During the excursion, the family visited the Agioi Saranta Cave Church, a rock-hewn chapel located in southeastern Cyprus. Melissa dressed in a statement shirt in bright green with a bikini underneath, finishing her look with sunglasses as the family smiled for photos.
Gogglebox family history
Baasit has been a staple of the British reality television series Gogglebox since its inauguration in 2013. The popular Channel 4 show features recurring families and groups of friends reacting to the week's television broadcasts from their homes across the United Kingdom.
On screen, Baasit appears alongside his father Sid and his two brothers, Umar and Raza. Although the male family members have been regular cast members for over a decade, their wives are never seen on screen.
Marathon challenge for charity
Off screen, Baasit and Melissa frequently share relationship milestones with their social media followers. In October, the couple marked their 13th wedding anniversary and revealed that they had been dating for over 16 years.
At the time, Melissa confessed she couldn't do life without her partner. Alongside a post on Instagram, she wrote: "13 years married today, 16.5 years together - forever to go... Happy Anniversary to the absolute best, couldn’t do life without you... Love you xxx"
In April, the couple took to Instagram to announce that they would be running in the London Marathon together. Baasit revealed that his wife started running in January 2024 and that they would be supporting Mind Charity.
Alongside a family photo of the two of them, Baasit wrote: "I’ve had the privilege of experiencing running the @londonmarathon before but to have the opportunity to share this experience with my wife is very special!"
Supporting mental health initiatives
Offering an insight into his life away from Gogglebox fame, Baasit detailed his professional background in education. He worked for over ten years as a full-time teacher and has spent the last five years working across education with teachers, children and families.
Explaining his motivation for supporting Mind Charity during the 2025 London Marathon, Baasit wrote: "One thing that continues to be highlighted in all my work is the growing mental health crisis. The work Mind does to raise awareness and smash mental health stigmas has never been more important and I know how prevalent the crisis of mental health challenges is across the education landscape."
He added: "Whether it’s teacher workload, social media challenges in children or parents mental health struggles due to the cost of living crisis - it’s clear to see people need help more than ever! That is why I’m proud to be running the 2025 London Marathon with my wife to raise money for such an amazing cause."
