Feng Shui according to all the rules: how to dry your hair quickly and not damage it

Good in summer: you can just wash your hair, apply some styling and run errands. But in spring, autumn and winter without a hair dryer, alas, nowhere. And in order not to have dry, dull and brittle hair by summer, try using our life hacks – it will be faster and better!

  • Choose a hair dryer with at least 1800 watts of power, multiple temperature settings and an “instant cool” function. All this will allow you to set the desired mode at each stage: set the medium temperature for the drying time, but do the styling with the help of maximum hot air.
  • Do not forget to use cold air at the end of styling – with its help, the shape and volume will be retained much better. If you’re doing curls, use the cool-down feature after each strand.

  • Use hair clips. With them, drying hair – especially long hair – is much more convenient. In addition, it will avoid damage caused by overdrying the same sections.
  • Curly hair is naturally more prone to dryness, so never dry it on high heat. And, of course, in this case you cannot do without a diffuser. Just be careful, the shape of the nozzle should be concave, not flat, then the curls will turn out more beautiful and natural.
  • The distance between the hair and the hair dryer should be about 10-15 cm, but if the hair dryer has a nozzle, it can be reduced.
  • Remember to use thermal protection. It not only protects, but also significantly reduces drying time. Just because we don’t work doesn’t mean they won’t all fit. Search, try, choose. Remember a simple truth: leave-in waxes and creams are more suitable for owners of thick and unruly hair, and for thin hair it is better to choose mousses or mousses. In a nutshell, the thinner the hair, the lighter the texture of the product should be. And yes, read the label carefully and avoid products containing alcohol.
  • After applying the heat protectant, brush your hair with a wide-tooth comb to better distribute the product through your hair.

And if you also want to learn how to style your hair like real professionals, use our step-by-step instructions.

Step 1

After washing your hair and wetting your hair with a towel, dry your hair 80% – it should be slightly damp (or rather, let it dry naturally first and only then proceed to styling). Then lift the hair at the back of the head and dry each strand separately, but at a higher temperature. Direct the air jet from top to bottom – this way the natural structure will not be disturbed and the hair will be smoother.

2nd step

Pull the already dried hair back and go to the top of the head. In this case, the hair should be dried with the head tilted down – this will give the roots extra volume. The direction of movement is from roots to extremities.

And finally, move to the front of the head. Apply hairspray as a finish, then don’t touch the hairstyle with your hands.
