You’ve probably heard that regular terry towels can ruin curls – villi dry out and damage hair, making it brittle and fluffy. As soon as it became known, many microfiber towels appeared on the market, the price of which can reach several thousand rubles.

Natalie Palomino agrees that it is better to refuse terry cloth, but she believes that it is not at all necessary to buy a special one. “Just use an old T-shirt — it’s smooth enough not to damage your hair,” she says.

“The only thing you can do is cut them off,” Natalie says. “The funds only mask the damage, but it’s a temporary fix that only exacerbates the problem.” She advises prioritizing skincare products that prevent split ends, as well as regular haircuts — it’ll be a much smarter investment.

Cowshing is a shampoo-free, conditioner-only shampoo, especially suited for fine, curly hair that wants to retain its natural waves. After co-washing became popular, many brands launched special cleansing conditioners. However, according to Natalie, they are not necessary: ​​the most ordinary, which is already in your bathroom, will do.

Curling sticks don’t have a special clip – you have to wrap and hold the curls manually. You can often hear that such a thermal stick does not leave creases and curls curls more evenly, however, according to Natalie, it is not necessary to switch to it at all if you have not already done so. “Just ignore the clip on your curling iron — that’ll do,” says the stylist.
