Why a manicure with gel polish is considered bad manners – and which nails follow the rules of etiquette

The rules of etiquette have always extended not only to behavior, but also to a person’s appearance. But if you want to comply with modern canons and remain a woman in any situation, you will have to forget about the manicure with a resistant coating. And about absolutely anything!

Manicure with gel polish is perhaps the main beauty invention of recent decades. Thanks to him, millions of girls got rid of the need to constantly monitor the condition of their nails and had the opportunity to experiment with color and design on their hands.

The permanent manicure can be very different: both shiny, intense and noticeable from afar, and translucent, imitating the natural undertone of the nails. The second option is often used by girls who must follow a strict dress code.

But no matter how inconspicuous a nude manicure is, modern etiquette experts consider it as inappropriate as any long-term coating.

The reason for such an attitude to gel polish lies precisely in its durability. Such a manicure needs to be updated every few weeks. But let’s be honest: after 7-10 days, the nail plate grows quite strongly, and the coating loses its freshness.

By the way, that’s why Kate Middleton and other representatives of the aristocracy prefer to do a regular manicure. Of course, they can afford to do gel polish at least weekly. But what good is it in such a period? It is better to quickly apply the usual coating!
