Where in no case should perfume be applied in spring and summer – this fatal mistake is made by many of us

Late spring and summer are so sweltering! For this reason, even your favorite scents can cause dizziness or nausea. We figure out what to do (and what not to do!) to avoid such a nuisance – and to protect everyone in the vicinity.

Avoid strong odors

In summer, it is better to avoid heavy and saturated perfumes, as they can give a curl that is too “thick” and cause headaches. Opt for light and fresh compositions, such as citrus fruits or flowers.

Apply the perfume to cleansed skin

It’s right after going to the bathroom. This will help prevent the mixing of odors. And do not forget: in the hot season, it is better not to use too fragrant body lotion or shower gel with a strong, variegated scent. Unobtrusive citrus fruits and delicate products with a minimum of cosmetic fragrances are best suited.

Keep track of your perfume

Don’t wear too much perfume! Otherwise, the flavor may become too intense. A few puffs are enough.

And above all: do not apply perfume to these areas!

In spring and summer, it is not recommended to wear perfume on sensitive areas of the body, such as the neckline, the wrists, the inside of the elbows and the knees. Firstly, these areas sweat profusely, which will distort any perfume composition. And secondly, it can cause headaches, nausea and even allergies.

Experts recommend applying perfume in the summer on clean skin in the cooler areas of the body – for example, in the shoulder area, both behind and in front. You can also spray perfume on your hair for an extra long lasting sillage.
