The manicure – and to be honest, the pedicure – should above all heal the nails and not damage them. Although for most girls it is much more important that the nails look good – as long as possible and with minimal effort.
And now watch out! Remember how often you or your manicurist degrease the surface of the nail before applying base and colored varnish? Almost always. Such an action can pass without a trace only in the case of strong and thick nails. Otherwise, the degreasing composition, together with the lipid layer, will also remove a fair amount of moisture. More precisely, he will remove it in any case: but for fragile nails it is fatal.
Due to degreasing, the nails exfoliate, break, change color under the influence of varnish pigment. This is what dehydration looks like in general terms.
So remember: at least once a day, the skin, the nail folds and the nails themselves (if you are not coated) need to be nourished with oils or cream!
