How brides should protect themselves from the sun during the wedding – so as not to get a sunburn before the honeymoon

Many dislike sunscreen because of its oily sheen, strong smell, and likelihood of staining clothes. They are not always practical to use on a daily basis. And especially when it comes to a wedding, when the bride simply needs to be the most beautiful. But is there an alternative?

Everything is perfect in summer weddings – except for some nuances like the intense heat, many insects flocking to the food and the scorching sun, under which the skin burns so quickly.

Of course, the main part of the celebration usually takes place in closed tents and restaurants. But the negative effect of the sun’s rays can also be achieved during a street photo session: especially if the wedding registration takes place outdoors. We suspect that brides dream of burnt shoulders and red marks from the sun on their faces! As well as the application of oily sunscreen, which will spoil the impression of wedding makeup.

If you’re getting married in the summer months and are worried about the harmful effects of sun exposure, follow these tips to help reduce UV exposure to your face and exposed parts of your body.

Use sun protection

A delicate white lace wedding umbrella is not only an elegant retro accessory, but also an excellent protector against the sun’s rays. It can become a stylish detail of the image of the bride. Well, or they can be used for their intended purpose outside of the photo shoot and then folded in and out of the frame.

Some brides choose wide-brimmed hats for a summery look instead of a veil, tiara and elaborate hair ornaments. They go well with white trouser suits and simpler wedding dresses – in a situation when the holiday is on the street, and the bride is dressed in a more comfortable outfit.

Use SPF sprays

Of course, scientists have already proven that spray sunscreen products do not offer complete protection against UV rays and are only suitable as an aid. But something is better than nothing! Go for a sheer, low-scented, non-greasy veil spray that can be used on both face and body, and ask your friends to help renew skin protection throughout the day.

Decide on the timing of wedding events

We understand that there are sometimes windows to be painted in the registry office just for the midday heat – or, even more inconvenient, for the early morning. However, the beautiful summer dates fly like pies! But if there is such an opportunity, it is better to plan outdoor wedding events for the afternoon – after 3-4 p.m., when the activity of the sun’s rays begins to slowly weaken. After all, just registering for a wedding, just having a photo session in the sun is not the best solution in terms of aesthetics. You’ll squint and sweat more – and you’re unlikely to like yourself in photos.
