Why Models Never Eat on Planes: A Life Hack Worth Noting

People who have flown with models and other famous beauties are often surprised to learn that they don’t touch food during flights. But why do they suffer from hunger for long hours?

It’s always a pleasure to eat on a plane, even if the standard selection of food isn’t particularly enticing. First, it helps to pass the time – after all, it’s not always easy to find something to do with yourself from the beginning to the very end of the flight. And secondly, food helps to calm down – and improve well-being due to pressure drops.

However, many models specifically refuse to eat on board the plane – even when you have to fly for several hours at a stretch.

Some celebrities are speaking personally about the decision, and we’re hearing of others’ deliberate airline hunger strike by fellow passengers or flight attendants sharing their observations on social media. Thus, recently, a former employee of the American airlines saidthat during the seven-hour flight from New York to London, model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley not only didn’t eat anything, but didn’t even drink the drinks offered – and only bought a small bottle of spring water on board.

Many people only fly a few times a year, while on vacation. For models, air travel is an integral part of life, especially during Fashion Weeks. That is why they try to do everything to avoid the consequences of jet lag – to be full of energy and look great right after the plane lands.

Being at a great height greatly affects the metabolic processes in our body. For this reason, after the flight, many often complain of bloating, abdominal pain, the so-called “traveler’s constipation” – and, of course, the appearance of edema.

Refusal to eat is the most important measure to minimize these consequences of theft. Yes, not eating anything when a flight lasts more than 3-4 hours is not the easiest test. Therefore, to feel less hungry, experts recommend drinking plenty of clean water. But it is also better to refuse coffee and black tea on board. However, caffeine causes fluid retention and affects the appearance of edema in the same way as high-calorie and high-salt foods.
