Why You Can’t Drink Lots of Water if You Have a Second Chin: A Not-Obvious Solution to the Problem

A double chin can develop even in the absence of excess weight, since many factors affect the failure of facial tissues. Including non-compliance with the correct drinking regime.

We all know that it is necessary to control the daily fluid intake and that ideally you should drink about 2 liters of water during the day. Due to water deficiency, metabolic processes in the body worsen, which threatens to increase appetite and many unpleasant problems: from hair loss and the development of cellulite to regular constipation and to poor blood circulation.

Nevertheless, many do not take into account that the correct drinking regime involves a regular and measured fluid intake. If during the day you forget about water and drink only tea and coffee, and in the evening you try to “catch up” with the norm, then the benefits of water will be much less. But the likelihood of edema and nocturnal trips to the toilet, disrupting sleep, increases markedly.

Edema is unpleasant in itself, because because of them we look tired and older than our real age. However, in addition to an immediate effect on appearance, puffiness has an insidious cumulative effect: after all, fabrics overloaded with water gravitate more easily and sink faster.

Regular swelling is one of the reasons for the violation of the oval of the face and the formation of a second chin.

Of course, do not underestimate the impact of poor posture and the possible presence of extra pounds. Statistically, however, all of these issues tend to appear together and reinforce each other. That is why experts advise not to close your eyes to the appearance of edema and take care of your appearance. Then you can’t be afraid of a pronounced double chin or the development of cellulite!

In addition to maintaining a measured water intake, in the prevention of edema it will be useful to eat less sugar, salt and unhealthy fats, as well as to work with muscle clamps – another common cause of puffiness . Regular physical activity, as well as procedures to improve microcirculation, such as massage, contrast shower or warming up with an MFR roller, help to improve metabolic processes and eliminate clamps.
