Don’t like to wash your hair? We don’t blame you – in the case of long curls, water procedures take a lot of time. Sometimes it gets to the point that you have to build your whole schedule around them!
Unsurprisingly, the idea of washing your hair once a week sounds very appealing. But there is a small… Although no, there is a huge giant “but”! Very often then, four (or more!) days out of seven, you remember Severus Snape with his “greasy black hair”.
However, Brooklyn-based blogger Taylor Tobin knows how to fix it. Taylor herself switched to a weekly wash after she started noticing excess oil at the roots and an overall dullness to her hair – these are the rules she developed over the course of her experience.
Rule #1: Use a deep cleansing shampoo
It is not suitable for frequent use, but it is ideal for washing once a week. This remedy removes sebum, dirt and other cosmetic residue better than others – other shampoos can’t compete with it.
Second rule: do not forget the air conditioning
Yes, the skin secretes oils that protect it and the strands from drying out, but they won’t reach the ends of the hair – they need extra hydration: apply conditioner to them every time after washing.

Third rule: forgo skin care products
According to Taylor, most serums and masks are designed to replicate the oils produced by the scalp — the same ones we constantly eliminate. Now that you only do it once a week, you don’t need it anymore.
