What’s summer without swimming? Well, if the sea is still far away, then a lot of people rush to the pool. But for dyed blondes, such a holiday can turn into a real nightmare. Often after swimming in the pool, a green tone appears in the hair. Why this happens and how to get it out, we tell in our material.
She dove in the pool like a platinum blonde, and came out already like some kind of green water? Do not panic!
First, it is simply the result of a chemical reaction between the clarifier and the chlorine in the pool (and it can also be in tap water). The presence of copper in the water can also make the situation worse. When copper and chlorine are mixed, they form a film that “sticks” to the hair, which eventually causes a color change. The effect is well known to you from copper statues or coins.
Second, there are several life hacks that will help minimize these consequences. One of them is very simple: do not enter the water with dry hair. If the hair is already damp, the copper-chlorine mixture will not “cling” to it so firmly. And, of course, don’t forget to wash your hair as soon as possible after swimming.
If the hair is already green, a few home remedies will save.
