Most women have thought about changing the shape or size of their breasts at least once. And while not everyone makes it to the surgeon’s office, mammoplasty has topped the rankings of the world’s most popular plastic surgeries for decades in a row.

But how objectively do women evaluate their breasts? To find out, scientists from New York University conducted a large study. To do this, they selected 1000 female bust photographs, which were taken during consultations with plastic surgeons between 2009 and 2019.

More than 1000 respondents, women and men, participated in the study. The researchers asked participants to rate each option on a 5-point scale. In addition, the “five” and “one” could only be put once – the options that impressed the most.

As a result, all photos of the busts presented in the survey scored at least 2.5 out of 5 points – which is a very good result, considering that the women themselves were not satisfied with their breasts and decided to go under the knife. And these 5 options were recognized as the most attractive – and received the most ratings.

As you can see, the most beautiful natural breasts are not so perfect in appearance! Respondents did not consider visible asymmetry or small size to be a disadvantage. However, there is one common feature between these options: all 5 busts have a rounded shape and a filled upper bust pole.
