How to make a wax manicure: a home procedure for sealing brittle nails

Strengthening with biological wax is an analogue of the popular Japanese manicure, which is often performed in beauty salons. Unlike the Japanese technique, wax manicure is a more budgetary procedure. A jar of wax costing 300-400 rubles can be enough for a whole year of use. Meanwhile, the price of Japanese salon manicure starts from 1000 rubles.

Previously, nail masters advised their clients to definitely buy cuticle oil: and to use it as often as possible so that the manicure remained neat even after a few weeks. Recently, however, organic nail wax has been in much greater demand in the markets – a complex of beeswax, oils and natural plant extracts that resembles a solid cream.

Like cuticle oil, organic wax was created for additional care of the nail plate and the skin around it. It has a softening, nourishing effect and helps maintain a manicure between treatments.

At the same time, biological wax is the basis of an independent nail procedure called “nail sealing”.

In fact, nail sealing is one of the polishing options. During the procedure, a buff (polishing file) is used not on a dry nail plate, but on a small amount of wax. Under mechanical action, the wax melts and fills all the bumps and cracks – deeper and more effectively than with manual rubbing of the product.

In order to properly make a wax manicure, the product should be rubbed into the nail for several minutes, treating all sides and paying special attention to the free edge.

It is recommended to do a wax manicure every week. It is especially useful to perform it between extensions and gel polish – to strengthen the nails and prevent delamination.
