What kind of manicure is done in Turkey: what disappointed the Russian tourist the most

Russian women are spoiled by the high level of beauty service, because the talent of our masters is known all over the world. But what should you expect if you need to get a manicure in another country? This Russian woman got her nails done in Istanbul and felt cheated.

Going to a beauty salon and getting a manicure – with or without polish, with an intricate design or with broken nails repaired – is a common activity for Russian women. Our nail industry is known for its quality and, last but not least, its affordability. Even Hollywood celebrities choose CIS residents as manicure masters – in this article we talked about a girl from Tula who now does nails for Hailey Bieber and the Kardashian-Jenner family.

Many Russian women who live permanently in other countries eventually begin to consult compatriot specialists. Even if their services are more expensive than local craftsmen.

Vitalia Khon has not been to Russia for a long time. For 4 years now, the girl has been traveling around the world – and she tells in her blog how to do it inexpensively and easily.

Here we talked about how Vitalia decided to get a manicure in Dubai – and regretted going to a beauty salon in general. Now the Russian woman is traveling through Turkey, and while in Istanbul she decided to give the foreign nail industry another chance.

“I went to different beauty salons, found out the prices and, going to the next place, asked about a manicure with gel polish. An employee writes me 100 lira (~352 rubles) for a manicure on a calculator, then takes it out and writes 300 lira (~1055 rubles) for a gelcoat. I am satisfied, because elsewhere the prices were 350-450 lira (~ 1231-1583 rubles) for a manicure coated with gel, but here it is much cheaper. And the place is so modest with no luxury or pathos.

Taught by an unsuccessful experience in Dubai, I first asked the master to show me his work. I really liked one, so I immediately sat down and asked him to make me the exact same, ” says Vitaly on his blog.

The Russian woman was manicured by an emigrant from Uzbekistan and promised that the result would be even better than on the example in the photo.

“The girl started working. She was caring, kind and friendly. She came to work, in Tashkent she took courses in hairdressing, manicure, eyelash extensions and much more, so she can do almost anything. I looked at her with admiration! She also said that she will soon move to Russia with her fiancé. Vitaly writes.

During the procedure, the blogger was embarrassed that the craftswoman did not have a table lamp on the table, and she did her manicure in a very dark and uncomfortable environment. The end result disappointed the traveler – both in terms of the cleanliness of the hygienic manicure and in terms of the requested nail design.

“It was, of course, better than Dubai, but not exactly what I wanted. I felt like a teenager having her little sister give her a manicure.writes the girl.

Above all, Vitaliy was disappointed with the final price of a Turkish manicure. It turns out that the service costs 400 lira – 100 for a manicure and 300 for a coating (~ 1407 rubles). In Russia, for such a price, you can count on a quality result with a coating. True, a manicure with such a complex design in most cases will cost more.

“I am shocked by the price, because in other salons the prices are lower. At the same time, they look more luxurious, with rich interiors and uniformed craftsmen.explains the blogger.
