It’s not gravity! Doctors Explained Why Breasts Actually Sag

Do you think it’s the merciless force of gravity? It turns out not only! We tell you what else accelerates the aging process of the breast.

Smoking

Don’t take care! In our articles, we collect the latest scientific data and the opinions of authoritative health experts. But remember: only a doctor can diagnose and prescribe treatment.

It would seem, what could be the connection here? The most straightforward: Smoking harms your entire body, including destroying collagen, which leads to loss of skin elasticity and, therefore, premature sagging. Not only breasts, but breasts – above all. The good news is that if you quit, the process will stop, and maybe even reverse (not quite, of course, but the improvements will be noticeable).

Unsuitable underwear

everything is clear here, although, unfortunately, it is not at all simple: the larger your size and the older you are, the more carefully you should choose a bra, even if it is difficult to find one suitable for large breasts (fortunately, we have detailed instructions). Also, do not forget that for fitness you need to buy special sports underwear – you can’t do it with ordinary clothes! Otherwise, the “jump” of the chest up and down will quickly stretch the skin.

Weight fluctuations

Everything is obvious here: you gained weight – your breasts became larger and heavier, the skin stretched, and the load on the connective tissues increased. You lost weight – and your chest was “blown up” like a balloon. There is nothing wrong with this, if you lose weight correctly – slowly, gradually, do not forget about sports and take care of your skin. But if your weight constantly swings back and forth, your chest skin will no longer be able to cope and recover.

Posture

And yet gravity! If you are used to constantly stooping, the chest “pulls down” even more, the connective tissue stretches, and you get a sad picture. What should I do with this? Nothing but posture correction, of course. We advise you to consult a doctor first, and then choose exercises for the back. Moreover, sooner or later everyone’s chest will sag, there will be no other options and, probably, at the age of 80 we will not worry about this problem at all. But the question of a healthy back is very equal!
