Are they paid for this? Why Western manicure so often loses to Russian – 5 compelling examples

The Russian manicure technique is very popular in the West – and it costs much more there than standard manicure services. Indeed, Western and Russian manicures have critical differences, which we clearly show in this material.

VOICE’s beauty department regularly makes manicure selections – so to speak, for all colors and tastes. And often, when we are looking for the next examples of nail designs, we are again and again convinced of the uniqueness of the Russian manicure technique.

And no, it’s not another beauty myth! Russian manicure has significant differences from Western manicure. Yes, it takes more time, effort and money. But the result is a stable and guaranteed result for weeks to come.

Western nail specialists are used to working in a slightly different mode. Many of them do not do hardware manicure and do not consider it necessary to kill time for the treatment of cuticles. Of course, thanks to this, you can save a lot of time – and at the same time receive more customers. However, the quality of such a manicure is much inferior to the “pure” Russian technique. It is therefore not surprising that our specialists are so appreciated abroad. And the prices for their services are constantly rising.

We’ve collected photos taken in British and American nail studios that show all the shortcomings of a foreign approach to manicure. It should be noted that among the images in social networks you can find many worthy works. But even in photos of stars with a manicure, the problem areas are sometimes too obvious.

A poorly treated cuticle will not cause unpleasant surprises to visitors to foreign manicure studios. A clean manicure with the complete removal of everything superfluous is done here by rare masters – because they do not consider it necessary to spend time working with a cutter and device.

Smudges and uneven coverage appear if the client does not hold their hands properly when drying the polish. Apparently, the author of this work did not consider it necessary to warn the girl about the competent drying of the nails. Well, or did not have the necessary time to correct their work.

I don’t want to argue about tastes. But for some reason, more and more often in the stories of Western nail masters we see such depressing stiletto heels – with rhinestones and stucco in the worst traditions of “zero”.

I would like to pay more attention to elongated nails – which, at least, look too artificial and are clearly not made from the most modern and ergonomic materials. I wonder how convenient it is to perform the usual actions with such wide tips on the fingers?

And finally, a little pain from the nail designs. Undoubtedly, most new nail design trends appear in the West. However, the quality of execution of such ideas can be very lame – and spoil the author’s original idea.
