Why manicure masters charge more money to remove someone else’s coating – you will be surprised!

Nail artists charge extra to remove the coating you have done elsewhere, not at all because they are harmful and therefore trying to keep customers. The reason for the higher price lies in the serious reasons which can greatly affect nail health.

When you opt for a manicure from the same master, you can significantly save on coating removal. Some people remove the remnants of their gel polish for free. Or they take 100-200 rubles less than if you had to remove the coating made in another salon.

Of course, this approach helps masters to find regular customers. However, first of all, experts are asking to pay more for removing someone else’s coverage, as it comes with a lot of risks. After all, who knows how competent the master you went to last time was!

  • If your last manicure was not well dried or too many layers of gel polish were applied, the coating will have to be removed longer and more precisely. In addition, this approach spoils the working tools of the masters – so it makes sense to pay more.
  • Another example: the last nail master gave you a poor quality manicure, and the nails started to peel off. To put such nails in order takes a lot of time. Therefore, experts consider it fair to charge a high price for working with a difficult case in which they themselves are not to blame.

Often, nail masters do not charge such an extra – but take into account all sorts of complex cases in the initial cost of their work. So don’t think that a specialist is priced higher than others just because they inflate the cost of procedures. Study the work of the master and the reviews of other customers. And don’t chase the cheap in the beauty industry!
