Former NHL player Brooks Laich married Icelandic CrossFit athlete Katrin Davidsdottir in an outdoor ceremony at their lakeside home in Idaho on August 15.
The 41-year-old former professional hockey player, who was previously married to actress and dancer Julianne Hough, exchanged vows in front of a little over 100 guests, according to People. Speaking to the outlet, Laich called the ceremony a dream come true for both of us.

The couple's 10-month-old daughter, Emberly, attended the wedding and took part in the outdoor ceremony. Her father carried her down the aisle during the event.
Lakeside ceremony in Idaho
The nuptials took place at the couple's private waterfront residence in Lake Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Guests watched the ceremony while seated on a patch of lush green grass leading up to the altar, with scenic views of the lake stretched out behind the couple.

The family pet also had a special moment during the ceremony. Their husky, named Koda, walked down the aisle while wearing a tuxedo.
Following the outdoor vows, attendees enjoyed a cocktail hour before dinner along the water. Instead of serving a traditional wedding cake, the couple chose huckleberry crisp for dessert.

The evening ended with dancing and entertainment. A dance floor and a stage were set up on the property in front of the garage to end the night.
Celebrations continued into the following morning. The newlyweds and their guests were treated to a 50s-themed beach brunch to close out the wedding weekend.

Wedding attire and reception details
Davidsdottir wore a sleeveless white Wona Concept gown featuring a full skirt and buttons along the back. Her blonde hair was styled into a chic updo, complemented by a sheer white veil placed on the back of her head.
Laich wore a classic black tuxedo paired with a white dress shirt and a black bowtie.
Daily Mail reached out to a representative for Hough for comment regarding the wedding, but has not yet received a response.
Engagement and reaction from Julianne Hough
Laich and Davidsdottir first made their romance Instagram official three years before getting engaged. They formally announced their engagement in December 2024.

Following the engagement announcement, Hough reacted publicly by leaving a supportive comment on the couple's joint Instagram post.
"Congratulations. I'm so happy for you both as you step into this beautiful new chapter together. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and endless adventures!" Hough wrote.

Laich replied directly to his former wife's comment, writing, "thank you for the kind words, much love Jules!"
Previous marriage and divorce history
Hough and Laich first met in 2013 before being confirmed to be dating the following year. They announced their engagement in 2015 and tied the knot in July 2017 in Lake Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

However, just three years later, their split was revealed in May 2020. At the time, the former couple issued a joint statement announcing their decision to separate.
"We have lovingly and carefully taken the time we have needed to arrive at our decision to separate," Hough and Laich said in the statement. "We share an abundance of love and respect for one another and will continue to lead with our hearts from that place."

They added, "We kindly request your compassion and respect for our privacy moving forward."
Later that same year, the professional dancer filed for divorce. The pair reached a formal divorce agreement in 2022.
Reflecting on life after separation
Hough previously opened up about seeing her ex-husband and Davidsdottir together at a mutual friend's wedding during an episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast.
"It was so beautiful," the actress said during the podcast appearance. "I'm in this place where I now feel like I'm just beginning with so much wisdom, with so much insight, with so much compassion and so much empathy and understanding of what's possible."
Hough also reflected on her divorce, explaining that she transitioned from "having the extreme of like, 'Will this ever end?' to 'Oh my gosh, like, I get to literally, design and create the life of my dreams.'"
She added that she now knows "that every decision I'm going to make is going to be from here and that it still doesn't mean it's going to be this perfect life."
Last year, the star discussed her new approach to dating during an interview with E! News, admitting that she is not taking it as seriously.
"It kind of brought me back to the joyful, playful side, versus being so serious," Hough told E! News. "Sometimes, when you're intentional, you can get a little bit tunnel vision, and so, I kind of was like, 'You know what? I'm just gonna be playful and fun.'"
When questioned about what she is looking for in a partner, she jokingly quipped, "Someone super hot."
