Lady Gaga wins lawsuit filed by woman involved in disappearance of her French bulldogs

Lady Gaga won, this Monday 10, the lawsuit filed by Jennifer McBride50 years old, in which he asked the $500,000 reward (about BRL 2.6 million at current exchange rates) for meeting the singer’s French bulldogs, Koji and Gustav, in 2021.

Jennifer sued the artist in February of this year for allegedly failing to keep her promise to pay the reward for delivering the dogs.

According to TMZ, which has access to the court records, the judge in Los Angeles, in the United States, denied the request because Jennifer had already been arrested for being involved in the theft of Gaga’s bulldogs. “You cannot benefit from your own criminal act,” the magistrate said.

Also according to the vehicle, he would have 20 days to try to appeal, but it is not clear how he could find a way around the decision.

Thieves who stole Lady Gaga’s French bulldogs and shot dogwalker Ryan Fischer, an employee of the singer, were arrested on new charges of attempted murder and robbery in 2021, according to a Los Angeles police report.

Several people, including Jennifer McBride, who allegedly rescued dogs that went missing after their Feb. 24 abduction, were taken into custody. The police were suspicious from the start and advised the singer not to pay the promised reward.

At the time, the dogs were delivered to a train station and recovered safely by the artist’s representatives.

The investigators of the case, who at first thought it might be some kind of bad joke, have advanced the hypothesis that it was a gang specializing in animal theft.

French Bulldogs are a popular breed. Puppies can cost several thousand dollars and are stolen for resale or breeding.
