Singer Chrystian, Ralf’s former duo, has died at the age of 67

Singer Christian, famous for the duo Chrystian and Ralf, he died on the night of this Wednesday 19th, at the age of 67. The artist had been admitted to the Samaritan Hospital, in Sao Paulo, on the morning of this Wednesday, when the press office announced the cancellation of an exhibition scheduled for the 22nd, in Franco da Rocha. No details about the diagnosis have been released.

“His unmistakable voice and his passion for music brought joy and emotion to fans all over Brazil (…) In this moment of deep pain, we find comfort in the memories of happy moments and in the songs he left us” , said the family in the death notice published one day to the next on the artist’s social networks.

In the official press release released this morning by the press office, the team maintained further details, but specified that Chrystian was recently diagnosed with a medical condition that requires immediate rest and specialist care. But he was “following all medical recommendations.”

In February this year, Chrystian had already been admitted for a kidney transplant at Hospital do Rim. The kidney was donated by his wife Key Vieira, but the surgery was postponed until the end of the year due to the need for catheterization during pre-operative tests.
