Day McCarthy Case: Understanding the Reason for the Influencer’s Conviction

Day McCarthy was convicted of racial slur and racism charges against the daughter of Gio Ewbank and Bruno Gagliasso

Day McCarthy was sentenced to 8 years and 9 months for racial slurs and racism against the daughter of Bruno Gagliasso and Giovanna Ewbank. After the sentence was announced, however, the influencer shared a video in which he claimed to be a new innocent person.

In 2017, Day McCarthy made racist and derogatory comments about the couple’s daughter Titi, who was only four years old at the time. “I felt, I think, what any decent human being would feel, right? It’s sadness. It’s a feeling of impotence. Cowardice, right? He’s a child,” Bruno Gagliasso commented at the time.

Day McCarthy disagrees with the sentence and has appealed, even though the court has convicted her. “A video that was leaked 4 years ago and I regret it very much. I am ashamed! I do not want to be condemned for the rest of my life, for something from years ago, in which I changed and revised my concepts. I am another person and I am resurrected, I do not owe anything to justice! No one can judge me anymore. I paid R$ 180,000 and I asked for forgiveness from Titi, Bruno Gagliasso and Giovanna Ewbank,” said the influencer.

It is also worth mentioning that Day McCarthy also insulted the actor’s wife at the end of the hearing. This is because the influencer does not think she is wrong. “First of all, I will not accept insults from any son of a bitch or even from a magistrate. For my own good, to hell with it! You can send Interpol against me for slander and defamation, but I have done nothing.” !”, she complained.
