David Neres is robbed after Napoli’s second match

Thieves seized a watch worth over R$600,000

Brazilian striker David Neres was robbed in Naples, southern Italy, shortly after playing his second match for Napoli.

After the 2-1 victory over Parma, the player and his wife, Kira Winona, were returning from the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium to the hotel where they are staying.

During the trip, two robbers on motorbikes approached the minivan carrying the couple, broke the vehicle’s window and forced the player to hand over his watch, worth approximately 100,000 euros (R$624,000).

Frightened by the crime, Neres went to the police and then entered the hotel without speaking to the fans who were waiting for him at the door.

“David would like to apologise to the fans who were waiting for him.

As he was trying to leave the stadium after the game, two men on motorcycles crashed into his car and robbed him at gunpoint,” Winona explained on social media.

Revealed by Sao Paulo, David Neres was at Benfica and was signed for 28 million euros by Napoli, where he will pair up with Romelu Lukaku.
