Audience disapproves of country singers’ appearance on show ‘Amiga’: ‘They killed the trend’

The special Friendspresented by Rafa Kalimannaired on TV Globo with notable performances from big names in country music, including Maiara & Maraisa, Ana Castela, Simone Mendes AND Laurana Prado. Despite the contagious energy of the program, the public did not spare criticism of the visuals chosen by the artists, generating negative comments on social media.




Among the messages, many viewers felt that the costumes did not adequately represent the country style or essence of each singer. “They killed fashion”wrote one Internet user, expressing dissatisfaction with the fashion choices for the event. Other users pointed out that the costumes distracted from the music.

“I love them all, but the look overshadowed their talent. I didn’t understand the concept, if there was one”one follower wrote. A more incisive comment stated: “The music was beautiful, but the styling was a disaster. Whoever is responsible for it needs to rethink their choices.” Despite differing opinions on the costumes, the special was celebrated by the unification of female country music talent, reinforcing the strength of women in this musical genre.

Rafa Kalimann, who hosted the program, praised the dedication and charisma of the artists in their presentations. “They are incredible, but they deserved a look that matched their talent”concluded a more balanced fan.
