“To compose Marlene I had a great inspiration: the feminine girls of Goiânia, like Maiara and Maraisa and the eternal Marília Mendonça”, says the actress
Debora Secco brings housewife Marlene to life in the series Hit Rensga!, which arrives on Globoplay on August 4th. In love with her character and her new job, shot in Goiás, the actress revealed that the production changed her life.
In eight episodes, the series weaves the story of strong and determined women. Marlene is the owner of one of the largest multi-family homes in the country. She has been in the country music market for decades and is used to being successful in everything she does.
However, it is currently facing the worst crisis of the Hit Rensga!, which is losing space and prestige in the market. Contestant Joia Maravilha Records not only stole her “prince of suffering”, Enzzo Gabriel (Maurizio Destri), as is also led by archrival Helena Maravilha (Fabiana Carlo), with whom Marlene has an old disagreement. “I think Marlene represents Rensga. Marlene is a job, a dream, a fulfillment, but most of all she is love,” she said.
For you, who is Marlene and what were your references for playing the character?
“I think Marlene symbolizes all of us, Brazilian women, who basically have to be strong, but we are also very sensitive. To compose Marlene I had a great inspiration: the feminine girls of Goiânia, like Maiara and Maraisa and the eternal Marilia Mendonça “.
How do you assess the relationship between Marlene and Helena Maravilha?
“In my opinion, Marlene and Helena are in an unresolved love affair. They are in love with each other. They have been through something very strong in the past and, for some reason, have had a disagreement. But they still have a lot of intimacy, l ‘one knows a lot, the other. Maybe they like each other a lot and, since they are now on opposite sides, one bothers the other a lot. “
In your opinion, what is the importance of Marlene in this series? What does she represent you?
“I think Marlene represents Rensga, the dream of singing, of being successful, but without going beyond who you really are, your principles, your values. It’s about realizing yourself within your limits, and with so much love Marlene is a work, a dream, a realization, but above all it is love “.
What lessons or teachings, in your opinion, does “Rensga Hits” offer to the public?
“Rensga Hits! Speaks of family, affection, dreams …. of love. So, it has many lessons”.
