The singer Mauro Davi NepomiCeno Dos Santos, known as Oruam, remains detained in the individual cells in the penitentiary of Dr. Serrano Neves, in the complex of Gericino, in Bandu. The case was confirmed after an audition held on Wednesday afternoon (23), which validated the legality of the arrest. The decision was made by judge Rachel Assad da Cunha, who did not find evidence of irregularities in the detention process.
Initially, Oruam was brought to José Frederico Marques prison in Benfica, around 19:00 (GMT) Tuesday (22). However, even at night, there was a transfer to Bandu, in which the artist is isolated from the other prisoners, following the protocols defined by the secretariat of the penitentiary administration of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Seap).
The transfer was motivated by security reasons, although Seap did not detailed specific reasons. The rapper is under four daily meals, with standardized feeding of the penitentiary system. The first night, the Feijoada dinner accompanied by corn crumbs, salad and juice and received bread with butter and juice for dinner. The breakfast had coffee and bread, followed by lunch with chicken, rice, beans, cooked carrots, grated beets and juice.
ORUAM’s arrest occurred after the Rio courts decreed a preventive mandate. The artist voluntarily presented himself to the city of police, accompanied by his mother and girlfriend. According to the Civil Police, he would have prevented the seizure of a minor involved in the trafficking and theft, which triggered the arrest warrant.
The police investigation involved seven formal accusations against the singer: drug trafficking, traffic for traffic, qualified resistance, body injuries, threat, contempt and damage to public activities. If sentenced with the maximum penalties provided – with the exception of the injury of the body considered slight – it can comply with a maximum of 34 years and 6 months in prison.
The investigation stresses that ORUAM’s residence worked like a refuge for criminals and fugitives. The images with alleged leaders of the red command were presented by the police, who relates the singer with the faction. According to the corporation, he is the son of Marcinho VP, appointed leadership of the criminal organization, he even arrested the external state.
After surrendering, the artist himself recorded a public declaration: “Just apologize. Dì that I love my fans so much. I’m going back, troops. I am with God and it’s calm. I am strong!”.
