Grêmio intensified the movements of the backstage during the mid -year transfer window. The Gaucho Club defined the departure of four players, giving priority to the reduction of the payroll and the reorganization of the cast to the second half of the season. The council expectation is to negotiate athletes and, therefore, make room for possible reinforcements.

Franco Cristaldo, who arrived at the club in 2023, had the link with the interrupted main cast. The Argentine midfielder was involved in internal disputes, especially after showing discontent with the salary he receives. Considers it below the average of the team. In 141 games, he scored 26 goals and gave 19 assists. The management, in turn, has already started conversations with the parties concerned on the market, looking for a definitive sale or, alternatively, a loan with advantageous clauses.

In addition to Cristaldo, three other names have also been placed as negotiable: Gabriel Grande, Francis Amuzu and Felipe Carballo. The goalkeeper, revealed by the basic categories of Tricolor, has lost space in recent months and is authorized to look for a new club. The attacker Amuzu, assumed as Belgian football bet, has failed to settle and can be released definitively.

Among the four names, Carballo has the most advanced situation. The Uruguayan midfielder negotiates a loan with the Timbers of Portland of the United States, with the possibility of buying at the end of the contract. Grêmio returns to the field on Sunday (10 August), at 20:30 (Brasilia time), against Sport Recife, for the 19th round of the Brazilian championship. The expectation is that until then new definitions will occur behind the scenes.
