Director Tatiana Issa, who co-directed “Brutal Pact – The murder of Daniella Perez” with Guto Barra, will direct the documentary series on Turma do Balão Mágico.

Only now has the director’s name been confirmed, as well as the title of the series, which will be called “The Super Fantastic Story of the Balloon” and will tell the rise of the group of children, which was successful in the 80s and ‘ 90.

“The Balloon was a group that marked Brazil, but we also tell the story of an era,” said the director in a statement on the series. “It is the story of a decade, of a moment in Brazil that we have lived, our generation has lived, but that remains”, he added.

“Balão Mágico” was a very successful children’s program, which aired on TV Globo between 1983 and 1986, and highlighted the adventures of a quartet of children who had just started recording records.

Originally, the project started as a musical group formed by a couple of children, Toby and Simony (who began their careers at the age of 3, when he started singing in the Raul Gil show), but soon received support. of two celebrity children: Jairzinho, son of singer Jair Rodriguez, and Mike, son of Ronald Biggs, a runaway thief from the UK who recorded punk rock with the Sex Pistols in Rio de Janeiro.

In addition to the television success – and even earlier -, the Turma scored hits such as “Superfantástico” and “Amigos do Peito”, remembered until today.
