A Brazilian woman wins the Miss contest dressed as Ayrton Senna


Kaliana Diniz paraded in ‘typical dress’ in honor of the Formula 1 driver who died in 1994

The Brazilian model Kaliana Diniz won the “typical costumes” phase of the competition Miss Grande Internationalwhose results were published this Saturday 18. His outfit paid homage to the Formula 1 driver Ayrton Sennadied in 1994.



Regarding the choice, he explained: “Ayrton Senna was a symbol of courage, faith and passion. I chose to pay homage to him because I deeply admire his career. When I wear this typical costume, I feel his light, strength and energy. Senna represented what it truly means to be Brazilian.”

Despite having won the traditional costume phase, Kaliana Diniz did not win the competition, which crowned Emma Mary Tiglao, candidate of the Philippines. The Brazilian was among the top 20 ranked, but failed to reach the Top 10.
