American presenter Aaron Goodwin, 49, received frightening information while recording his show Ghost adventures (Discovery+).

He discovered, by chance, that his wife, Victoria Goodwin, 32, had been arrested for plotting his death. According to investigations, he hired a hitman to kill the presenter. Victoria was arrested in March 2025, but the episode where Aaron discovers his then-partner’s plot was only shown this week.

In the program, the presenter and his team investigate supposedly haunted locations. When he learned of his wife’s arrest, he was visiting a decommissioned psychiatric hospital in California, United States. He said at the time that he needed to leave the place to take a call, and his colleague responded, “I’m not going to stay here alone.”

On his profile “I don’t want to relive that night,” he wrote.

According to TMZ, Victoria hired the hitman through a contact she had in a Florida prison. She had been communicating with the prisoner since October 2024 and, according to the evidence gathered, she spoke openly about her desire to kill her husband. “Am I a bad person? I chose to end his existence instead of getting a divorce,” she wrote in one of the messages.

The plan was discovered when the inmate’s cell phone was confiscated inside the prison unit, revealing the conversations that exposed the conspiracy.
