Who is the “Left-Handed Girl”? Influencer arrested for swearing at police officers; watch the video

The influencer and the activist Aline Bardy Dutra45 years old, was arrested on Saturday 25th in Ribeirão Preto (SP), after a clash with the military police. The episode would have occurred due to contempt and resistance, after she had hurled insults at the officers. Known as a “left winger”, Aline was released after a custody hearing.

The arrest came after Aline allegedly disrespected and offended police officers during a traffic inspection operation in Ribeirão Preto. According to the SSP-SP (Public Security Secretariat of São Paulo), the woman made comments with racial connotations.

The influencer was taken to the police station and the case was closed on charges of contempt, resistance and prejudice based on race and color.

In the custody hearing held on Saturday, the Court of São Paulo granted provisional freedom to “Esquerdogata”, imposing precautionary measures such as nightly home confinement and the presentation every 60 days of evidence of psychiatric treatment, due to bipolar disorder and the use of sertraline and quetiapine, as claimed by the influencer. The provision is valid for one year and can be modified by the judge.

With more than 870 thousand followers on Instagram alone, Aline is a communicator, educator and political activist, known on social media under the pseudonym “Esquerdogata”.

Produces content that criticizes the positions and actions of ideological opponents. Among the most frequent targets are the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos-SP), and the federal deputy Nickolas Ferreira (PL-MG). Allies like Carlos Zarattini (PT-SP) and Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ) regularly appear in his assignments.

Before last Saturday’s episode, Aline was already facing other charges of contempt and disobedience to the military police, according to documents from the Court of Justice of Sao Paulo.

In a statement, the defense reported that it had not yet had access to the complete video of the new incident with the police in Ribeirão Preto (SP).

The lawyers underline that “she is at home, recovering and feeling embarrassed”. The defense adds that “Aline is emotionally shaken and sincerely apologizes to all the offended people and to her followers.” His legal representation is carried out by lawyers Douglas Campos Marques and Roberto Bertholdo.
