Actor Matthew McConaughey even opened up some of his youth, including the sexual violence he suffered, in the publication of his autobiography “Greenlights” two years ago. This week he took up the subject again, recalling the trauma he suffered.

The revelations were made on the podcast “The Conversation: About the Men”, by host and photographer Amanda de Cadenet, wife of guitarist Nick Valensi, of the band The Strokes.

The artist began by recalling a time he was blackmailed into having sex, when he was 15. “The girl said, ‘Oh no, let’s go.’ And I was like, “No, no, no! Trust that we’ll have another chance if it’s meant to be. “But it was very clear that it wasn’t right, that wasn’t the way to do it.”

McConaughey then mentioned the “bad” attack he suffered at the age of 18. He said he was drugged and harassed by a man in a van. “I didn’t connect the two experiences at the time,” he admitted. “‘It happened. Am I denying it happened? No. I’m not denying it happened. It was bad. Ew.”

The actor did not go to therapy, but said the people around him helped him cope with trauma and have positive experiences in his life.

“After that, I had more healthy sex,” she added. “They were girls I liked and liked, and we were slowly getting more intimate. He was cute and a little awkward, and all that stuff, but he wasn’t ugly that way,” said the actor, who is now married to. Brazilian Camila Alves, with whom she has three children.
