Actor Ezra Miller (“Justice League”) has pleaded guilty to trespassing and theft charges he faces in a Vermont court. Accused of breaking into a house to steal several bottles of the drink, the actor had pleaded not guilty in October 2022, but changed his plea to reduce his sentence.

The case occurred on May 1 last year, when the actor was caught on security cameras as he broke into a house in Stamford, Vermont, and stole three bottles of drinks: gin, vodka and rum. At the time, the images led police to Miller.

The plaintiff, represented by attorney Lisa B. Shelkrot, filed a plea deal with the Criminal Division of the Vermont Superior Court to dismiss the burglary and theft charges.

There is also the trespassing charge, for which he would pay a $692 fine. or both”. Miller’s basic fine has an additional $192.

The hearing to define Miller’s change of statement and the agreement with the prosecution is set for this Friday (13/1).

The charge of burglary in an occupied residence carried a sentence not exceeding 25 years and/or a fine not exceeding $1,000. A petty theft charge carries a fine of up to one year and/or a fine of up to $1,000.

The actor has been racking up complaints and problems with the police since February, when he was accused of attempting to hang a woman in a bar in Iceland. Subsequently, he was arrested in March in Hawaii for causing a disturbance at another bar and arrested in April on charges of second-degree assault at a party at a private home, also in Hawaii.

He was then subject to two restraining orders. The first was made by the parents of an 18-year-old girl on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in the Dakota region, who claim Miller has been manipulating their daughter since she was 12 years old. At 18 she dropped out of school and ran away from home, ending up at the actor’s house. The young woman wrote on her Instagram that Miller helped her through a difficult moment.

The second was taken by the parents of a 12-year-old from Massachusetts after Miller allegedly got into an aggressive confrontation with her family, brandishing a gun and embarrassing the little girl with hugs and gendered remarks after discovering she calls herself non-binary. .

To top it off, allegations surfaced in June that Miller was harboring a mother and her young children on his Vermont farm in unsafe conditions, with guns and ammunition strewn across the property. The mother told the publication that the actor helped her escape an abusive marriage.

In August, Miller apologized for his behavior and began mental health treatment. “After recently going through a period of intense crisis, I now understand that I suffer from complex mental health issues and have entered ongoing treatment,” he said in a statement. “I want to apologize to everyone I have alarmed and upset by my past behavior. I am committed to doing the work necessary to return to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”

The treatment would be a requirement of Warner Bros., which has faced a dilemma in relation to the already completed film “The Flash”. The costs of replacing the actor in the production would simply be too high – not only is Miller present in almost every scene, but he also plays a double role, as a Flash from another universe. It would also be difficult to shelve the release, after the millions of dollars invested in its production. But there are plans to take it off the card in future productions.

Last year, Miller reportedly had a successful meeting with Warner Bros. studio presidents Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy to apologize for all the legal and media woes his behavior has caused. However, his future at Warner/DC is still uncertain, as the new board, made up of director James Gunn and producer Peter Safran (“The Suicide Squad”), did not specify what the Flash’s future will be.
